Adults

There are many opportunities in our parish for adults to begin or continue their growth as disciples of Christ.

Our Adult forum meets on Sunday mornings at 10:15 (or 9am on the first Sunday of the month.  Topics range from church history and theology, spiritual formation, to non-religious topics such as Dementia care or grief support.   Sessions are led by both clergy, church members or guest speakers.  Check our Events Page for the current and upcoming topics.

Sundays

Our very active Daughters of the King chapter meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 1:00pm in Davis Hall.

Members of The Order of the Daughters of the King® are women and girls between the ages of seven and one hundred and seven who desire a closer walk with the Lord. We are Christian women, both lay and ordained, who are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life, and supported through the companionship of our sisters. We are all at different stages of our Christian journey – some have just begun and some have been on this path for a long time. But no matter where we are on our sacred journeys, our primary goal is the same – to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known to others. Education for Ministry (EfM)

Through study, prayer, and reflection, trained mentors facilitate small group discussions and guide participants to examine life through an increasingly informed and inspired theological lens. More than Bible study, EfM participants read and discuss the Old Testament (year 1), the New Testament (year 2), Church history (year 3), and theology (year 4). You do not have to commit to all four program years nor complete it in four years.

St. Clare’s (Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta) EfM group meets virtually every other Monday (starting September 11th) from 9:00 am – Noon.   Click here for more information or if you are interested in joining the next EfM group.

Evenings
bible study.jpg

On Wednesday evenings, we have a lay led Bible Study/fellowship.  We dine together in Davis Hall at 6:45pm along with the youth, and follow with our study at 7:00.  We choose a book of the bible to study with a facilitation guide to go along with it.  It generally takes 6 weeks for us to complete the study of a book.  We do 'break' for some school holidays, so check the calendar on the Events page.
