The Outreach Committee Fish Fry is a Big Success!   Served every Friday during Lent, except Good Friday. Beginning Friday February 19th in Davis Hall at 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  All families, neighbors and friends are welcome.  $6 Adults and $3 Children 10 and under.                       Take-out is also available.           Lenten Soup & Salad Series “The Return of the Prodigal Son” By Henri J.M. Nouwen  Roman catholic priest and prolific writer on issues of the spirit, the late Henri Nouwen reflects in this, probably his best known book, on what it means to be alienated and then brought home to the presence of God in one’s life. The image he uses is Rembrandt’s painting of the Prodigal Son, the parable told by Jesus in the gospel of Luke (15:11-31). Nouwen, in turn, focuses on the three characters in the story: the son, the elder brother, and the father.   We will reflect on the short book over five Wednesday evenings (Feb. 24, March 3, 10, 17, & 24) beginning at 7:15 following the regular 6:30 midweek Eucharist. The group will make use of the study guide provided by the Henri Nouwen Society.
